We are the ______ percent.

We wrote about our personal experiences with violence.  28 out of 30 students and teachers surveyed said that they experienced gun violence; THAT's 93% of the class.  WOW.  What is your reaction to reading these personal stories?

We took a tally. Only 2 of 30 people in the classroom have not been affected by gun violence.

Two Men Killed in North Austin (Oct.30th, 2011)

A man pulled a gun on the victim during an argument about 2:15 p.m. on the 1700 block of North Central Avenue in the North Austin neighborhood, police said. Kyle Matthews, 32, who lived in Oak Park, died after being shot in the chest, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
