Prompt #2: Do television shows, videogames, movies, news programs, and/or music affect how many people in Austin get shot? (11.10.11)

Do violent video games make people in Austin more violent? Do movies like "Scarface" influence people to use a gun? Does a news program reduce or increase violence by showing violence in their program? Does music affect how many people people in Austin get shot? Pick one form of media and comment on why you think yes or no.

    No I do not think when people play violent games they get violent because im not violent and i play violent games. thats just people comments like parents teachers and principles.

    I think that people get killed over any n everything because they are just that stubborn and petty.They kill people over games,gangs and parties.

    I feel as if music and games or etc does not make me violent. I feel it all how u put it or how u take it. Like some people over on my side sometimes take things the wrong way! :]

    they affeted people because they think it is cool to go and do what they see on tv or video games then they will be mad when they have to pay the consaqunces

    I think that none of those things make people violent because it's just entertainment.In the story it said that scientist say it is not affective to becoming violent.

    I think that the tv shows and the video games that we play are affecting us to do violence. I think that becuase the tv shows, and games that we play have drugs,shooting,and many many more violence,And people just try to be like the shows and games they play and watch.

    I think it do put in affect on people because it teaches you the things you could do with a gun.or with throwing hands or feet at people.

    We dont think that vedio games affect people being violence.In the article it states that scientist say it is undesided weather vedio games affect kids or not.

    i disagree with violent video games are makeing children harm each other because we are all old enought to understand right from worng and we all know what we are doing and why we are doing it..i think that children see others harming people and think its alright to do it also thats why all the older people should set a good example for the young children and teach them to be something in life

    Yes I think t.v shows and videogames movies music does affect most people because some people be wanting to do the same thing as the people thats in that movie or music video and sometime when they see a move they want to try off a videogame they go and try it and it sometime affect other people thats around them and sometimes people end up getting hurt.

    YES i think music video can get you shot because you can be spreading rumors that are not true then the person gets mad and want to shoot you.

    We think that video games do not make people violent. Some people are looking for an excuse just to make an judgement saying that they are violent. Some people are really emotional and take thing to serious about what others say.
